One feature that stands out in this church compared to Holy Trinity is the lighting, both the natural light from the high windows and the softer lighting around the altar. I'd like to see a lot of thought put into the lighting, since it's probably one area where we could get a lot of value for our money.

One thing to be careful of is knowing where the sun is going to hit both in winter and summer at all times of the day and then placing windows accordingly. In our old parish a beautiful renovation was done but 2 stained glass windows were placed high above the altar, facing east, and if you sat on the left side of the church in the front half of the pews for 7:45 a.m. Mass you needed sunglasses to see anything.

Breathtaking! And, if any of you are long-time Denver area residents, it's interesting to see how much it resembles South High School.
